Religious Organizations

Religious organizations in United States are one of the forms of religious association; a voluntary association of US citizens and other persons permanently and lawfully residing in the United States, formed for the purpose of joint profession and dissemination of faith and duly registered as a legal entity. They are divided into local and centralized (the latter must consist of at least three local religious organizations).

The founders of a local religious organization may not be less than 10 citizens of the United States, united in a religious group, which is a proof of its existence in the territory for at least 15 years old (proof issued by local governments centralized religious organization, the same belief that it enters the structure of the organization). A religious organization is recognized as an institution or organization established in accordance with its charter, has the purpose and features necessary for a religious association, including governing or coordinating body, and the establishment of professional religious education.
