Accounting - nominally, a structural unit of an economic entity, designed to accumulate data on its assets and liabilities. Accounting is a source of well-documented and structured economic information needed for management decisions in order to ensure effective management.

The main task of management accounting (in other words, the tasks assigned to accounting) is the collection and processing of complete and accurate information on the activities of the economic entity. This information is mainly used for two purposes: making decisions based on the economic analysis of such information, implementation of financial control.
